The U9 tigers took on TS Sports tonight at a chilly Pingle.
We only had 7 players available tonight, with no subs, but every player gave there all and played well for the whole 40 minutes.
TS went 2-0 up, but Newhall never gave up and were rewarded with 2 goals of their own to earn a deserved 2-2 draw.
Both goals from Alex Goodall.
MOTM - Adam Young. Keep it up Adam!
TS Sports 2 - 2 Newhall U9 Tigers. _________________ Chris Barlow

Well Done to the Under 9 Tigers who thoroughly deserved a 2-2 draw tonight.
Every player contributed 100% effort against a skillfull TS Sports side.
A never say die attitude ensured that the players overturned a 2-0 deficit during a second half fightback.
A big well done goes to Adam Young for his MOM performance.
Also, hope you get well soon Mia.

I stumbled across this match purely by accident, its the first time I have seen the U 9's play since Adam dropped back into the U 8's.
Newhall looked the better side against a lively TS side who were good on the counter attack.
2 well taken goals from Alex and a good display all round against a team who had several subs available so they could rest their legs on what seemed like a big pitch.
Well done to all, special mention to Adam Young, well deserved your MOTM, keep up the hard work.

Thanks Ian,
You are dead right with the size of the pitch, it did seem somewhat bigger than the players are used to at Belvedere, but they adapted well and ran their socks off.
As you quite rightly said, TS did have the advantage of having 4 subs, so that makes the performance of the Tigers all the more pleasing.
Bearing in mind that the team have only been playing together for around 6 months with 4 new players at the start of the season (with a couple of academy recruits) they have all come on really well.
I will be looking to add to the Tigers team towards the end of the season, and have a scouting session planned at the academy in a couple of weeks! _________________ Chris Barlow
