LIONS 5 V MIDWAY RED 2

Well what a team performance by lions to day .lions knew this was a must win game with local braggin rights up for grabs & after losing to midway just before xmas we had to WIN !!!! Lions got off to a good start passing the ball around really well we soon got a corner.skinny put it in the danger aera for alex to score 1 -0 good goal .. lions were really playing well 10 minutes in another corner this time max crosses it in alex there again 2 0 - lions . lions then had a little slip & let midway back in with a good solo goal by them 2 - 1 .lions knew they were in a game tackles were flying in all over the pitch it was a case of who wants it win it lions then made it 3 - 1 with a goal from liam .every lions player was up for it defenders clearing the ball midfield working really hard with some good tackles going in & the 2 front lads running their socks off just what you want from your team . lions were always in control by now & made it 4 -1 just before half time with taylor geting on the score sheet .. fantastic first half

HT 4 - 1 LIONS

The second half & lions still making loads of chances but it was midway who scored to make it 4 - 2 .& for the first time lions under a bit of pressure from midway but lions defence stood firm by now the game was really heated just like a derby match . lions pushed hard right to the end & with a few minutes left .liam got fouled in the box & the ref gives us a penulty . now some time you say things laughing well i told stephen at half time if we get a penulty its yours .. well step up stephen . stephen smacks it right against the inside of the post & in the net 5 - 2 lions & what a finish to the game one lions can well & truly brag about it at school ..
